It had been a fairly active night for patrol. At least, as far as patrol in Metropolis went. Maybe she was due for a couple weeks back in Star City. If only to make her feel like her talents weren't going to waste. Still, she'd stopped a few muggings, scared off some vandals, given CPR to a woman who'd had a heart attack until the paramedics arrived. She'd done enough that she was starting to feel tired, though she'd need an hour or two in her training room to really wear herself out.

She skidded onto the gravel surface of her building's roof, and reached for the backpack full of street clothes she kept there, then looked around before starting to change. Her gaze fell on the outline of a man, and she frowned, reaching for her bow and an arrow to nock.

"Okay, you've got a few seconds to start explaining before you have to deal with pointy projectiles."

"Hey, ease up." The figure stepped into some better lighting slowly, keeping hands raised peacefully. True, he might not have been welcome here, but he'd had to investigate anyway.

As quiet as Metropolis was, anything that happened typically got an immediate reply from one of the bearers of the Super-shield. This woman definitely wasn't one of them. He smirked beneath his helmet, a combination of curiosity and amusement at play regarding the bow-wielding girl.

"I didn't know Metropolis had non-Supers in it helping out around town. I was impressed when I saw you," he said.

"Yeah, but those who do are typically carrying ordnance to take on the big S. You might want to watch that." Jason would have been lying if he'd said he didn't really care. He'd died doing the sidekick thing, and that was one sidekick death too many by his estimates.

"Star City, though... can be a rough town, I hear. What made you come all the way to Metropolis?"
