Feb. 25th, 2013 02:00 amWho: Avery
What: Making her way still
When: early morning
Where: Gotham
Interactions: Open
Warnings: Awkward and cranky weapon
The stars were disappearing. But somehow this place didn't seem any brighter. The air smelled kind of awful and even now the sporadic sounds of police sirens could be heard despite the fact that it was morning and the criminals should be going to bed. Since Red X had disappeared, the Outsiders had disbanded. There were only ever two of them anyway. And while she still had access to money through her and her Mother's bank account; Avery preferred leaving as much of that as possible for her Mom to keep up with the untilities at their house back in California Redwood country.
Such was the way that the young woman came to be lying on the roof of an abandoned apartment building looking up at the sky. Later that day the building would be gone; having been condemned and scheduled for demolition. For the night though the old girl had managed to have one final tennent.
Avery stared at the lightening but somehow still depressing sky for a bit longer. Then she rose and stretched. She could feel the instability of the building underneath her feet and that told her the time had come for her departure. So the woman slung her bag (with her only affects) over her shoulder and sprinted to the edge, taking a mighty leap and hurling herself onto the neighboring building. Which was in somewhat better condition and not at risk of collapse, giving her time to rummage through her bag and pull out some beef jerky and a bottle of water.
"Light breakfast it is then" She sighed and snapped down the dried meat. Then clipped her dark hair back with little plastic barrets and cracked her knuckles. "Time for the morning workout I guess"
Avery stashed her bag in a corner of the roof, then removed her hoody and left it there as well before striding back to the center of the building where she began to work on the forms and stances that Elektra had been drilling her on. She may not have been in the woman's care anymore but she still had a routine to maintain and training to do.

Date: 2013-03-02 12:26 am (UTC)The birds in the rafters fluttered as something disturbed the building. Dust rained down from the broken ceiling, along with some rotted drywall. A square of drywall hit Maxx on the heard but he barely felt it. He watched the birds flutter and splatter their shit around the room.
Was he being attacked? Did it matter? Probably just a branch landed on the building's roof. He should probably check for damage.
With a grunt, Maxx got to his feet and step by step, he climbed the fire escape up to the roof where he saw a girl. "Uh...Hello."

And the mall well-" she paused for a moment, planting one index finger on her chin in thought "I think that's more of a place for 15 and 16 year olds. You know; kids with nothing better to do. I'm not exactly an adult yet but I've kind of grown out of that sort of thing. And I wasn't really into it when I was the right age anyway"
The young woman ended her reply with a little shrug before setting her food and water back down and beginning a slow walk around the rooftop as she prepared to resume her morning training.
