Who: Joseph.
What: Quest for precious metals.
When: Midday
Where: British Columbia, Canada
Interactions: Yuriko
Warnings: N/A
Snow gently fell from the gray sky. More and more snow had begun to fall since the early morning to where it was hard to see anything else. Eventually the heavy snowfall would turn into a blizzard. Maybe that night, maybe the day after. Such things like the weather were of little consequence to the man. He was in the air, a few feet above the snow laden ground. A spherical barrier encompassed him that was practically transparent except for a tinge of what looked like purple electricity. Not a fleck of snow had touched him. All was quiet.
Floating amidst the torrent of white, Joseph extended his hands out before him and there was a rumbling noise that came from the ground. Through the snow covered dirt the corners of a cement doorway arose, a solid metal door with no handle was in the center of it. Motioning with his hand, Joseph made to grab it despite how far away he was. As he did so the door loudly closed in on itself, as if a giant’s hand had crushed it. Thrusting his arm aside, the door snapped off its hinges and was hurled away making a far off noise accompanied by a crack on the frozen Alkali lake in the distance. Descending down into the doorway that faced the sky, Joseph touched down on the innards of the formerly underground facility. His violet cape covered his shoulders when his electromagnetic barrier disappeared and he peered through his helmet at the dimly lit hallway. Metal walkways and railings were bent, broken and covered by ice; water that had frozen over time from once being flooded. Then he began to walk and the walkway broke through the ice, reconnecting the broken pieces with each step he took. Sounds of metal creaking and clanking into place and breaking ice echoed off the stone walls. Lights flickered on and off until he passed and when he did copper wires that had been cut by adamantium claws so long ago reconnected themselves.
All this steel was welcome to the master of magnetism, but it was not what he had come for. Continuing his trek through the once abandoned building his boot crushed the skull of a human skeleton that lay on a circular walkway. Former military personnel judging by the ragged and worn camo clothes. That is when he could strongly sense the presence of his target.
"Finally." said Joseph to no one when he ripped another door asunder and walked into a huge room filled with equipment designed to monitor and regulate-
"Adamantium." Joseph relished the word as he looked at the stores of the precious metal. The smile that was coming to his face was halted when he looked into a tub of frozen water. Someone was inside and they had the metal inside them. Indulging his curiosity, Joseph magnetically lifted the metal door that was lying in the entrance. The door floated towards the frozen tub and Joseph sectioned the sturdy material into small metal orbs. In a violent cyclone of shining metal, they shot through the ice and glass with incredible precision, not a single one touched the woman that was inside. When she was freed, the steel orbs fell to the floor and scattered away. Holding her in the air with his powers, Joseph moved her to him until he was holding her with one arm.
Holding his other hand in the air before her, Joseph concentrated. Focusing, he summoned the excess adamantium throughout her body that was not bonded to her bones. Metallic liquid poured forth from her mouth, nose, and eyes, coalescing in his open palm, slowly enlarging until the very last drop left her. The fresh ball of liquid adamantium left his hand and joined another deposit of the metal that wasn't too far away from them.

"Magneto?" The word slipped her mouth with the tone that said this was the last person she had expected to see back here. A man she was only vaguely aware of since her dealings with Hydra didn't offer the opportunity to cross paths with many other mutants. But whatever the reason he was here now and was apparently either her savior, or more likely; he was about to kill her for the metal that wretched man had soaked her bones with.

He had expected her body to collapse inwardly once he extracted the excess adamantium, but she was, as he had hoped, very much like Wolverine. Healing capabilities and an adamantium frame.
"I am." Joseph answered her one worded question matter-of-factly, his voice echoing throughout the containment chamber even though he did not raise his voice. Releasing her both physically and magnetically he gestured toward the adamantium deposit he had withdrawn from her, it was already cooling from it's liquid state and solidifying along with the rest of the deposit. "And that was what held you here for so long." As he spoke the dull sound of a machine turning on from another section of the facility hummed in the background. "That would be the heating system now that I've repaired it." his breath visible as he spoke. "I sensed adamantium here, but little did I know it was calling to me from within you." The lights that had been flickering on and off in the room blinked a few more times before they got significantly brighter and stable. He looked up at them, their light shedding away the shadows of his helmet showing Joseph’s youthful face. Magnetic LED lighting; how fitting.
"Finally. I think I am starting to grow fond of this place." he mused before he turned his gaze back to her. “Now that you are alive once more, what is it you plan to do Miss…?” he asked curiously as the warm air started to slowly filter in through the vents, purposely lingering on the last word for her to fill in for him. With his words hanging in the air, the broken security cameras began put themselves back in place. Oh yes, he was starting to like this place a lot.

Date: 2013-03-08 08:59 pm (UTC)"It's Yuriko. Yuriko Oyama. They called me Deathstrike" She answered after getting her bearing a little more.
Her eyes finally settled on the man once again. "You're not though are you? Not the first one. He was much older." As the woman spoke she rose back to full standing position. Her hand placed casually on her hip and a curious expression crossing her face. "So then....Son?" She tossed the possibility out, though she had a feeling he wasn't one of Magnetos children. They were all much too famous for him to have kept any out of the public eye.

Date: 2013-03-11 05:44 pm (UTC)Looking up to her now that she was standing, she was so much more now than the seemingly dead body that had leaked out adamantium. "Son? No." He raised his arms, pushing the violet cape from his shoulder onto his back, and lifted the helmet from his head, his long stark white hair spilling out from underneath it and finally resting between his shoulder blades. He looked at her, looking even younger than she did. "Clones are much more complicated than that." answered Joseph, holding the helmet in the crook of his left arm. "I have much to do, part of that includes killing Erik." a small smile played on his lips when he spoke those last few words. "What is it that you have to do Lady Yuriko?" he asked politely before glancing at the broken glass on the floor and water that had once been the ice that imprisoned her. "I don't imagine it was staying there."

Date: 2013-03-14 07:21 pm (UTC)"Well from the looks of things" She commented carefully "It would seem that the man I would have taken revenge on is likely already dead. Killed by the furry little weapon." She sighed "And I have no real desire to return to Hydra's employ at the moment. Plus; I ow you my life. So I suppose I will be staying here after all. At least for as long as you're here." She pursed her lips, cracking the joints in her hands and wrists and causing a loud metalic sound as she did so.

Date: 2013-03-20 06:39 pm (UTC)She looked around the place. Having this as the base of operations continued to be unsettling despite the vision Joseph had for the place. "Their headquarters are pretty far from here. Are you going to transport me or should I set off alone to keep your involvement secret?"

Armored heroes were featured over New York. “While you’re gone I imagine I can find some form of entertainment.” Yes, the initial step in Magneto’s war was practically complete. Now to start working on the next.
